FOR CHILDREN:
  • Except for the most dire circumstances, children must be reared by their mother and father, not by a third party (daycare, nanny, etc.)  Please, do not have children if you do not have the time to do it right.
  • Breastfeed infants for 18 to 24 months.  This is a perfect food - contains the right types of essential fatty acids for brain development and antibodies to limit infections.  An important maternal benefit    is noted in a study published in the 13 January 1994 issue of the New England Journal of Medicine, "If women who do not breast feed or breast feed for less than three months were to do so for four to twelve months, breast cancer among parous premenopausal women could be reduced by 11%, judging from current rates.  If all women with children lactated for 24 months or longer, however, then the incidence might be reduced by nearly 25%.  This reduction would be even greater among women who first lactate at an early age."
  • Give children filtered water* instead of sugar-laden juices or fruit drinks.  *While chlorine is essential to maintain water microbiologically pure in the pipes - it should not be consumed.  At minimum, a filter should remove chlorine and the by-products of chlorination as well as any contaminants larger than 0.10 micron.
  • Do not give children baths or showers with chlorinated water.  Use a chlorine- removing filter.
  • Swim in pools treated with bromine, not chlorine.
  • Fresh fruit, not cereal, is the best breakfast food.
  • Read to all pre-school children daily and teach them to read when they are 3 to 5 years old.  The book, Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons, by Siegfried Engelmann (ISBN 0-346-12557-X) is excellent.
  • Except for very special occasions, no child should watch more than 1 hour of television or videos each day.  TV dulls the imagination, glorifies bad behavior, undermines parental authority and promotes an insatiable desire for things.
  • A child is not the center of the universe or of the family.  You will create a monster if you do not teach him his proper, subordinate position.
  • Give children much more of your time and much less of material goods.  It is the quantity of time, not its quality, that truly matters.
  • Children never out-grow the need for hugs and kisses, especially from their fathers.  Within the limits of human intellectual capacity, our notion of our heavenly Father's love is colored by how our own fathers have love us.  For many of you, that notion, regrettably, is so deficient.  Do you carry the wound, that devastating, soul-piercing wound, that your father never showed you how much he loved you?  Even if he told you he loved you, he did not demonstrate it.  How you longed for a hug, warm embrace or tender touch that would have filled your cup to overflowing!  Please, do two things.  First, forgive your father, he loved you exactly as his own father had loved him.  And, second, SHOW your children how much you love them.  They will be eternally grateful!
FOR ADULTS:
  • Engage in the equivalent of 1/2 hour of moderate physical activity at least five days each week.
  • Supplement your diet with vitamins and minerals, especially antioxidants.  Select products which are made to pharmaceutical standards.
  • Drink filtered water* instead of bottled water or soft drinks.  Bottled water spends many months soaking up vinyl chloride and other chemicals from the container.  *While chlorine is essential to maintain water microbiologically pure in the pipes - it should not be consumed. At minimum, a filter should remove chlorine and the by-products of chlorination as well as any contaminants larger than 0.10 micron.
  • Do not bathe or shower with chlorinated water.  Use a chlorine-removing filter.
  • Swim in pools/hot tubs treated with bromine, not chlorine.
  • Keep yourself alkaline.  Urine with a pH of 7.4 is optimal; check with pH paper strips.  I know  of more and more cases of people beating cancer by following these strategies:  1. drinking copious quantities of super-oxygenated, alkaline water 2. reducing protein intake to third-world nutritional levels 3. avoiding soft drinks, coffee, tea and citrus juice 3. avoiding stress 4. basking in the warmth of far-infrared rays at the resonant frequencies of organic acids and 5. taking barium salts as recommended by an alternative health-care practitioner.
  • Stay connected - grow old with your friends.
  • Stay interested - read, explore and learn something new every day.
  • The more you give - the more you will receive.

More Suggestions
  • Do not mix plastics with food or water .  Do not heat foods in plastic containers in microwave ovens.  Do not drink fluids stored in plastic - except lexan polycarbonate (recycling code "7"  in the triangle).
  • Avoid "fake fats".  This includes trans-fatty acids and partially hydrogenated vegetable oils.
  • Limit intake of saturated fats.  This includes fats from animal sources as well as coconut oil (sometimes called palm oil or tropical oil).
  • Avoid aluminum - use glass or stainless steel pots, pans and utensils.
  • Avoid acidic beverages - coffee, tea, soft drinks and certain fruit juices.
  • Sleep 7 to 8 hours each night in a dark room.  Do not turn on any light, even if nature calls.  Learn how to feel your way to the toilet.
  • Never smoke.
  • Avoid all mind-altering chemicals, including alcohol.
  • Though human brains do contain cannabinoid receptors, these are for the naturally-occuring "chemicals of un-remembering" NOT for Cannabis sativa
  • Avoid clutter and excessive "busy-ness"; both distract you from what truly matters.

  • Avoid reading, watching or listening to "news".  It is either bad-news or non-news (promotion of network programming or celebrity gossip).  We stopped subscribing to the local newspaper years ago and have not missed anything important.  Learning about death, mayhem and tragedy, in another town or another continent, to some, is like witnessing it first-hand, causing the highly stressful "fight or flight" hormonal response.  Others become depressed.
