the Holocene Interglacial

At the beginning of this
month, in an email sent to a regular listener of NPR, I included a few
lines about "Climate Change" and how humans are not responsible.
To be able to give the next
correspondent a more complete answer, throughout February, my reading list
included topics like: climate during the Quaternary, glaciation and cycles
of glaciation, interglacials like the Eemian and the current Holocene,
Milutin Milankovitch, Maunder Minimum, Margaret R. Kendall Zimmerman and
the mismeasure of consensus, orbital mechanics (axial precession, obliquity
and eccentricity), C3 and C4 plants, optimal CO2 levels in commercial
greenhouses, closure of the Interamerican Seaway, and so much more.
My current task is to condense
over one hundred, single-spaced pages of notes into an article that non-scientists
can understand and appreciate.
