Psalm 23, Modernized
1 The Federal
Government is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me
to hear the Big Lie of the Mainstream Media: he leadeth me beside the shrill
Pundits.
3 He restoreth
my Entitlements: he leadeth me in the paths of Consumerism for his Banks's
sake.
4 Yea, though
I walk through the valley of the shadow of Terrorism, I will fear no evil:
for thy Security Contractors art with me; thy Atom Bomb and thy TaserTM,
they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest
a table before me in the presence of the Fat and Calorie Police: thou anointest
my vehicle with imported oil; my Dollar was runneth into the ground.
6 Surely Big Brother
and Nanny-Statists shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will
dwell in the McMansion of the Sub-Prime Lender for at least the next ninety
days.
