The massive spikes of
creamy-white flowers are the exclamation makers on a south Texas spring.
These can grow quite tall in time (the tallest in my garden has a 12' trunk).
Keep away from paths, since the stiff leaves terminate in a sharp spine.
Grows in full sun to half-day sun, in a location
with good drainage. Requires no supplemental irrigation once established.
(Feed with 5 to 7 Agriform
21-gram,
2-year fertilizer tablets at the bottom of the hole at planting time.) |
