It looks like the common
Umbrella Plant, except after a freeze! Its leaves are green to the
mid-twenties and the stems remain evergreen down to 18º
F. Its hardiness is due to its having evolved in high-elevation boggy
meadows of the Dragon Mountains, the Drakensberg, of South Africa.
Grows 4' to 6' high, prefers full sun, but can grow with less. Looks
best with regular watering during dry spells.
