Imagine a sunrise, as
viewed from the mountains, with thin bands of pink, purple and blue-gray
streaking across the pale sky. This horticultural treasure of the
Sierra Madre captures those colors in its leaves! The typical, purple-leafed
form of the species is indestructible and often garish, this one is not.
The clone offered here is an unstable and variable mutation - stems reverting
to all purple foliage should be removed. It is useful as a groundcover,
accent plant or as a cascading element in a container or planter.
Grows
in half-day sun. Looks best if given a deep watering every two weeks
during a dry summer.
