An
evergreen shrub with a unique spikey, angular growth habit composed of
upright, stiff branches, unlike the typically more rounded form of other
species and cultivars of cenizo. This hybrid acquires its green leaf,
vigor and free-flowering nature from 'Green Cloud' and the branching pattern,
flower color and earlier blooming from L. laevigatum. 'Heavenly
Cloud' Cenizo tends to start flowering earlier in the year and blooms more
often than selections of L. frutescens. Grows 6 to 8 feet
high and 6 to 8 feet wide if not pruned. Grows best in full sun,
in a location with good drainage. Requires no supplemental irrigation
once established.
