If
you are tired of waiting for the common Sago Palms, Cycas revoluta,
to grow, this faster growing cousin is for you. Their leaflets are
not as stiff as those of the Sago Palm - so they are not as hazardous near
swimming pools. These are large, 10-year-old specimens. Grows
best in morning sun or dappled light under tall trees. Requires no
supplemental irrigation once established if grown in shady sites with deep
soil. Can take full sun, but will need more water. The specimen
shown here, growing near Leon Springs, has a leaf-spread of over 10 feet,
and is of the same cohort as those being sold.
