(so unlike the typical bronze tone of most Chinkapin Oaks in the Texas Hill Country) & crossed it with a Monterrey Oak. These seed-grown plants are the result of back-crossing that original hybrid with a Chinkapin Oak to reinforce their genetic resistance to Oak Wilt.
