almost-black fruits. Drought-tolerant once

nearby Hill Country Live Oaks. These hybrids

Oak.

garnet-to-violet fall color

unlike the typical bronze tone of most

seed-grown plants are the result of
back-crossing that original hybrid with a
Chinkapin Oak to reinforce their genetic
resistance to Oak Wilt.
